Do we need an MDM if we only have a few iPads?
Honestly, yes. Even a small fleet benefits from central enrolment, app management, and the ability to wipe a lost or stolen device. JAMF School scales from a handful of devices up to thousands.
We already use a different MDM. Can we switch?
Yes. We have migrated schools from other MDM platforms onto JAMF School and can manage the move with minimal disruption. Most migrations happen during school holidays.
Does JAMF School work with BYOD?
Yes. JAMF School supports both school-owned devices and BYOD through Apple's Device Enrolment Program (DEP) and User Enrolment, giving you appropriate control without overreach on personally-owned devices.
Will JAMF School manage our Macs as well?
Yes. JAMF School supports iPads, iPhones, iPod touches, and Macs running macOS — all from the same portal.
Do you handle the licensing or do we need to deal with JAMF directly?
